Why Yeshua Had To Die
All Christians, and even many non-believers as well, know that Jesus is said to be the “Savior of the world” who sacrificially died on the Cross shedding blood. We are also told that those who believe that He is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and was resurrected in three days, will have an eternal life, usually based on Romans 10:9-13, among other scriptures. If you are reading this blog site, I am assuming that you are a believer . . , are you not? Then, I ask: Do you know the true and the whole reason He, the Almighty God, the Savior, came down from Heaven in a human form (in the flesh) and died on the Cross beyond John 3:16? Was that to save “everybody?”
The following are some more questions that kept going around in my mind, throughout the years. Let us see if you have also asked, or wondered about, some of the same questions . . . .
Have you ever been fully satisfied by the reason for His death you were taught? I was not satisfied for a long time. It was a bit too much for me, even as a Christian, to swallow without questioning why the Almighty God had to die for even those who hated Him. Could not God, who is omnipotent and omniscient, do something about it without dying Himself? I understand the sacrificial rituals in the Old Testament were foreshadowing of what the Messiah would have to do, and has tremendous meanings . . . but for what reason He would have to do all those things that are so intricate and complicated? And, why there is still so much evil all around us even after He did such unthinkable things 2,000 years ago already? Can some more people be saved, and be more in peace? Even the secular world is sensing that the “End” is near. How could He claim to be “the Savior of the World” when the world is in this much mess? Why would He be so “obligated” to die for them who do not even know Him? But, of course, it can be such a politically, and rather “religiously,” incorrect thing to ask these questions in the Christian community in general. I would get rebuked with words such as, “God’s love is so big and infinite that we cannot understand how He loves and saves everyone,” and may be, “God is not a respecter of persons!” (Ac 10:34). But, as I became more advanced in the Bible study, His salvation began to seem so “conditional” in the Bible, and not for everyone. Have you noticed that in your Bible study? And, by the way . . . , besides dying in such a brutal way, why did He even have come to begin with?
I hope the reader is not thinking that I lacked the understanding of the atonement for our sin He had to accomplish, because I did understand the mechanisms and the need for it. But, the version preached by Billy Graham just did not make sense to me, for example. First of all, there is no such reference in the Bible where it says that God is restoring the “paradise” which was lost when Adam and Eve fell, as Rev. Graham used to preach. And, regarding whom to be saved, for a long time, I reluctantly accepted that everyone was “supposed to be” saved. Well, but still . . , I did not see many people really repented even among the Christians I knew. Is that because so called the Evangelical Christians and pastors are not doing their job?
I had to find out the nonnegotiable reason that the Messiah would have had to die, which makes sense and settles in my spirit. What about the Covenant He had with the Israelites, what happened to them after they were exiled, and why the Jewish people are still scattered all over the world? Who are the Jewish people, and what happened to the lost tribes? Questions, questions . . .
I do not believe in the conventional definition of “spiritual maturity,” which seems to mean that, as we mature as Christians, we are supposed to become more and more “religiously correct” according to the traditions and accepting the theories on which the majority and “elders” agree. Complacency in the name of peace and unity, and the political correctness, is completely a lie. It was almost like a huge vitamin pill that was stuck half way down in my esophagus. I had no choice but to push it further. I read and studied the Bible diligently with these questions. I prayed and asked YHVH for revelations. And, one day, out of the sky blue, He revealed to me that I had a Hebrew roots in my ancestry. A total revelation! Then, as I was led, I started re-reading the Bible from a point of view of a “Jewish,” or “Hebrew,” believer in Him. And, lo and behold! I began to see a very different picture of the whole scenario and much “deeper layers” of the meanings of what our Messiah accomplished, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Unlike what has been traditionally taught, it made a perfect sense from the beginning to the end throughout the Bible; it bore witness in my spirit. Finally.
And, I have discovered that we have not been told the whole truth. Based on what I have learned after much praying, studying, and researching since this eye-opening experience, I can confidently assert now that we have been deceived by the messengers of Satan who had infiltrated among Christians as “wolves in sheep’s clothing” (Mt 7:15), namely “false teachers and prophets.” If you think Jesus came and died for all the humanity just because He loved man in general, and so all humanity will eventually be saved even without knowing Him personally or keeping His Commandments, you have been deceived. Yes, His salvation is “available” for all, but it was not the primary reason for which He came. Saving “all” individually, and directly, was not really the way He planned to save the world. From the time of the Sunday School, Christians were taught to memorize John 3:16 as if it was a “mantra,” and many have been literally “hypnotized” to believe that Jesus was for all: a Universalist and a New Age God. Do you know what Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witness, Unitarian Church, New Age, and Freemasonry, and all the satanic false religions have in common? That is the Universalism: We all “somehow” by our own merit or efforts can live eternally because we are all gods after all. So we do not need the Messiah, and Jesus is just a “great teacher,” like Buddha (sigh . . .). They also teach there is no hell or Satan (. . . right?), while they are worshipping him, the father of lies (Jn 8:44). Following Jesus is not a religion, but it is “belonging” to Him, that is to be His people. And, He is not just our teacher, but He is our God and Husband.
Also, if you believe that the relationship between YHVH and the Children of Israel was done away with when they broke the Covenant given on Mount Sinai, and all of the sudden (Plan B!) Jesus appeared on the scene to save all the mankind on earth after a few hundred years of hiatus, you also have been deceived. The both Holy Books, the Old and New Testaments, are “one” and in complete harmony; there is no end to the Old Testament, untill the end of the Book of Revelation. The New Testament is a continuation, or you could say, the “fulfillment” of what is spoken of in the Old Testament. The Old Testament was the reason that Yeshua came, and the New Testament is the reason that the Old Testament exists. I prefer calling them “The Old Covenant” and “The Renewed Covenant.” Jesus did not suddenly appear in the New Testament and started teaching new things . . . not even remotely true. It is an “illusion” created mainly by paganistic Church fathers, who presented the New Testament as a new entity, practically “cutting off” His Hebraic Roots, and taught that the Messiah came for a brand new group of people, the Church, that is consisted of “whosoever.” Tragedy! And, even more tragic is that Satan kept at it and relentlessly sent His wolves and infiltrated seminaries, churches, schools, and the media (Christian TVs are all false ministries), and suppressed and twisted all the crucial truths. Making you rich is not why our Messiah died! For more details on the topic of deception, I strongly recommend that you read and consider the extensively researched material presented on this following blog site: Deception Free.
Please remember: Our Lord warned us of this very thing, “Deception.” There times in Matthew 24 (Mt 24: 4; 11; 24), during the Olivet Discourse, He warned His Disciples not to be deceived. Yes, may be it was about the last Days and the anti-Christ. But, the enemy has been already preparing for that time, for hundreds of years, only intensifying it in this hour, as the Last Days are around the corner.
The truth is that the whole Bible is about Him: Who He is, Whose He is, Whom He loves, Why He came, What He did, and How He did them, and finally, What He will do in the End . . . , from the beginning (Ge 1:1) to the end (Re 22:21), through and through. Jesus is a Jew; He was a Jew then, and still a Jew now and eternally. His name is Yeshua. I will show you what all these mean to us, why He is not a “universal God,” what the Nation of Israel (not the current State of Israel) means, and finally, what the Bride of Christ really means. And I would like us to consider what to do about all this. Because, all these deceptions I discussed above are purposed so that the true children of God would go astray from following their Messiah, who teaches us to obey His Commandments (Jn 14:15; 1510; et al.) and commands us to make disciples of all nations teaching the Commandments (Mt 28:19-20). That is because, you would not need to keep His Commandments if you can attain an eternal life, and if there is no hell. Correct? As you will see when you read on, working with our Helper the Holy Spirit, knowing and learn to keep His Commandments and being the Bride of Christ are inseparable. That is why, throughout the history of the Nation of Israel and Christianity, Satan has done everything he could think of to make us forget His Commandments and lose our true identity as the people of YHVH. Without knowing His Commandments (Torah), there is no way you can be His people. Torah defines who His people are. Now, if you believe that the Law (Torah) was abolished because the Messiah fulfilled it, I propose that you read through this series and re-consider that.
Satan has been trying to destroy the people of YHVH, keeping them away from Him and His love, also by attacking the identity of the Children of Israel (includes Christians), implying that they are like everybody else. That is a lie. It is because he knows that, without realizing and firmly internalizing the identity as the people of the Almighty God, you are completely open to accepting the lie that he infuses into your mind and soul, of course, through the false teachers and prophets. The lie that is, in essence, telling you, “You will be like God” (Ge 3:5); the lie that Eve took and ate. That is why we need to know the truth. We need to know “who we really are (where we came from and to whom we belong),” and “who we need to become (where we are going) ” in this last days.
This series may not answer all the questions, but it is a start. Let us search for the answers together step-by-step.
By the way, have you ever wondered, why Greek version of His name sounds so different from the originalHebrew name Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)? Yes, His real name is Yeshua, not Jesus. I have wondered about it also, ever since I first read the Gospel of John many years ago. I believe, it may be important to touch on it briefly, because we will be discussing His identity here in this series. In Hebraic culture, one’s name is very important in terms of his/her identity, as it usually has a special meaning and often carries a prophetic meaning. Yeshua means “God saves.”
The name, “Iesous,” especially when it is transliterated as “Jesus,” sounds to me like quite a jump from “Yeshua,” or the original form, “Yehoshuah.” I am particularly uncomfortable with “-sous” part of it. Greek language does not have a sound “sh,” but could not they have done a little better job when they transliterated it to English? Could not they have made it so that it would sound a little closer to the original Hebrew phonetics? After some research, I realized that there was much pagan influence in choosing those names for our Messiah, and it was not an accident or mistake. It is the name of a Greek god, “Zeus,” which forms this name: “Iē-sous.” Zeus is a Greek name for Roman god, Jupiter, Babylonian Baal, and is basically a sun god. The usage of the word, “Christ,” for the translation of “Messiah,” which is originally “Meshiach,” also has some problems, but perhaps, it is for another writing project. Nevertheless, for the relation between the names, “Jesus” and “Zeus,” I believe it will be worthwhile to spend a few minutes reading this comprehensive article on the topic by Maria Merola of Double Portion Inheritance Ministries. For the purpose of this section, I am quoting a small section of the article that is relevant to the theme here:
Praise Jesus or Hail Zeus?
The Greeks and Romans did indeed change our Messiah’s name to Zeus for a very good reason. It is because Zeus had a December 25th Birthday!
In Latin the term “Io” means “hail” or “praise.” Hence, on December 25th in Ancient Rome, people would give praises to the god Saturn on December 25th as they shouted “Io, Saturnalia, Io, Saturnalia.” This was a day for orgies, child sacrifices, drunkenness, gluttony, over-indulgence of the flesh and debauchery. Later on as Christianity began to spread through the Roman Empire, the Roman pagan god of Jupiter & the Greek pagan god Zeus were merged into J’Zeus and so the mantra changed from “Io Saturnalia” (praise Saturn) to “Io Zeus” which literally means “Praise Zeus!”
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) is the original Hebrew name of Jesus, which is the English version of His Hellenized name, Ἰησοῦς, “Iē sous,” <G2424>, of which Hebrew origin is יְהוֹשׁוּעַ , “Yehoshuah,” <H3092>. It is the same name as “Joshua” as in the Book of Joshua, meaning “God saves.” As this Age is coming to its end, YHVH our God (אֱלֹהֵינוּ יֵהוָה), “Yahovah Eloheinu,” who is our Father (אָבִינוּ), “Avinu,” and His Son, Yeshua the Messiah (יֵשׁוּע הַמָּשִׁיחַ), “Yeshua HaMashiach,” are revealing Yeshua’s true identity through the Holy Spirit (רוּחַ הַקֹדֶשׁ), “Ruach HaKodesh,” to His believers. It is time for us to embrace His true identity and know His true purpose.
1 John 5:7
(7) For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
The paganization of Christianity began when Emperor Constantine of Roman Empire (306-337 BC) decided that he was a Christian and denounced all the Jewish aspects of worshiping, such as keeping the Feasts of YHVH and Saturday Sabbath. The Roman Catholic Church is the remnant of the religious system Constantine created. All those images of Jesus and so called “Saints” with a halo-like round object over their head is actually a sun disk, not a halo. There is no mentioning of any halo on Him or angles in the Scripture. It is from the pagan sun god worship. I am not posting any images of them, as they are extremely offensive and abominable to me personally. (Since I published this Introduction, I have written many articles that deals with the Babylonian false religions which connects the false christianity, paganism, Kabbalah, and Judaism. Please continue reading Olivet Journal and learn more about the truth about these false religions)
Yes, the identity of Yeshua was distorted, and it is not very pleasant to find such things out. I did not have much fun when I researched this topic. But, we all must know the truth about the deceptions. However, as I studied for this writing project, I came to realize that there was a hidden plan of YHVH in this. I must tell you that it was a will of our Father that the identity of His Son would be hidden for over 1,700 years. It was for a purpose; an important purpose. The reason for this is revealed in the story of Joseph, who was hidden in the culture of Egypt, which is the type of “the world,” with an Egyptian name as a ruler of Egypt until he would reveal his identity to his Hebrew brothers (Ge 42-50). After finally revealing his identity to them saying His true Hebrew name, “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt” (Ge 47:4), and his brothers begged for his forgiveness, Joseph said to them:
(20) “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
Yeshua’s true identity has been hidden for almost 2,000 years for the same reason: “to save many people alive.” The Bible also tells us that YHVH/Yeshua is a God who hides Himself:
(15) Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!
Now, this verse brings us right back to the main point: The word, “Savior,” (יָשַׁע), “yasha,” < H3467> here in this verse is the root word for יֵשׁוּעַ; that is His very name, Yeshua. And, He is called the “God of Israel” in this Scripture. It is Him who has been hidden. But, in this hour, after 1,700 years in hiding, it is YHVH’s will for His people to know Yeshua’s true identity, His Jewish identity, His divine identity, and His Commandments (Torah, תּוֹרָה). And, He is the “God of Israel.” That is what the Hebraic Roots Movement is all about — The restoration of all things has begun, as we rapidly approach the time of the end.
(11) Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.
I am not saying we cannot call Him Jesus. I am talking about His identity. Jesus has been the Father approved pagan name for Yeshua for 2,000 years, but the Messiah is revealing His identity saying, “I am Yeshua,” to His brethren, to the House of Israel and to the House of Judah, just as it was time for Joseph to reveal himself to his brethren, it is time for Him. And, as the true identity of Yeshua is being revealed and restored, the identity of His people are also being reveled. This is the beginning of the restoration of His people: One New Man (Ep 2:15).
Although it is still an on-going process of learning, I was urged to write what I have learned so far and publish it. I have never written anything this long and detailed to publish. But, I am most sincerely and passionately presenting this revelation to my beloved brothers and sisters in the Messiah. Therefore, I say, as the Apostle Paul said in Romans 12:2, I beseech you not to conform to the worldly teaching (deceptions), and to let YHVH open and transform your mind and heart by receiving truth and true love of our Messiah.
1. Not only the name of our Messiah, Yeshua, all the other names in the Bible have been paganized or Hellenized. For example: such as Peter: “Simon Kefer”; Paul: “Shaul”; John: “Yochanan”; James: “Yacov”; Matthew: “Mattiyahu”; Jude: “Yehudah,” which also is the same as Judah. Mark and Luke were Greek. All Hebrew names have specific meanings. But, in this series, I will use the names used in the English versions of the Bible as I cite Scriptures to avoid confusions, except the name of our Messiah, Yeshua, because all of us are very used to those familiar names and have come to love them. For now, I have also decided to use the titles of the books of the English versions of the Bible, rather than the titles in Hebrew. I still encourage everyone to familiarize themselves to Hebrew names, and if you are up to it, dive into learning the biblical Hebrew. It is the most rewarding experience I have had to learn to read the scripture in Hebrew and to be able to understand even a word of the Torah in depth, as it opens up the Word of God in many new dimensions. I do not read it fluently, although I hope one day I will, but being able to do word study with Hebrew, one word at a time, has produced such fruit for me in my Bible study. I will share a tiny bit of my excitement with Hebrew word study in the first Part, so you will be excited too.
2. All scripture references are taken from New King James Version of the Bible, unless otherwise indicated. And, all emphases are mine.

- YHVH or YHWH is a transliteration of the Tetragrammaton, meaning “four letters” that appear in the Hebrew Scripture: יֵהוָה . From right to left, the letters are “yod” “hey” “vav” “hey.” According to the vowel symbols, it could be pronounced as “Yehvah” “Yahovah” “Yahweh” etc. It is not very clear how it should be properly pronounced as the rabbinic tradition has forbidden pronouncing it as an act of reverence for at least hundreds of years. Biblically, it is not forbidden to pronounce His name as it is written. And, it actually seems that He likes to call Himself with this name, which appears 6,697 times in NKJV. It means “the ever existing One.” In many popular English translation of the Bible, it is translated as “LORD” in all capital letters to distinguish it from “Lord,” which is a translation of אדֹנָי “adonai.” Pictographically, “yod” means “hand,” “hey” means “revelation” and “grace,” and “vav” means “nail.” In combination, the word, יֵהוָה, can mean: “Grace revealed through nail pierced hand.” <↩>
